Book Awards Visitor

Wairere Learning Team were visited by Adrianne Shapland (Medbury Librarian), Clare Newton (Christchurch Libraries) and 2nd Lt Mark Chambers from the Army.
They discussed the 2 NZ Post Book award entries Dear Alison and Willie Apiata VC: the Reluctant Hero.
Mark's Power Point explained what the army does in NZ, the Pacific and around the world. There are over 30 careers in the army!
He also gave us heaps of free stuff as did Clare from the library.

We have emailed Mark our questions that we ran out of time to ask. We'll keep you posted when he responds.
