Busking

What is busking?
Busking is an art on the street where you show off your talents by spinning plates, eating swords, playing music and lots more!

They often play for money, but always for fun.

Our main busking attraction is the busking festival we have in the town square each summer.

Busking has been going on for centuries. Buskers are      pretty much in every culture.

 The term busking was
first noted in English langue around the 1860’s.
The word busk comes from the Spanish root word “buskar” meaning “to seek
or wander” By Lucy and Luca.

PUPPETS

Puppets
When and where were the first puppets made?

Most people who are puppeteers will agree that puppetry’s roots were formed in china.

The first puppets were made out of socks in America.
China made shadow puppets as stretched donkey skins, dried sheep skin, water buffaloes, pigs and even fish!!!!
By Bicky Josephine and Milly.

What is ice dance

                   Ice Dance
              By Fiona and Anoud

Ice dance is a form of figure skating that originated from ballroom dancing and ballet.

Ice dancing is all about expression, showing your artistic nature, movement on ice and telling a story.

In Europe it is also know as ballet on ice or theatre on ice.

People will skate and dance to music to help tell a story. It is normally done without speaking.
