Caitlin's birthday at school.

Hmmmm... cake...

On Friday 27 of May 2011 Caitlin had her birthday at school in room 5. Caitlin  was turning 9. Her best friend Marian kindly baked her a teddy bear cake.After morning tea Caitlin kindly shared the cake with the class they all enjoyed the cake.It was unfortunate because Caitlin had to run cross country at Jellie Park at 1:25 pm .Room 5 wished Caitlin a very very happy birthday that was the best day at school in a long time.

Weekly Winter Sport

Weekly Winter Sport was due to start today. Unfortunately the weather didn't play it's part. Fingers crossed for the Cross Country tomorrow.

Hanmer Springs climbing

On camp at Hanmer Springs we went climbing with two instructors Nick and Ben. They taught us how to put on a harness and take one off. These are some of the things we used to climb: A helmet, a Caribina, rope and a belayer and a ladder to get started.
One of the activities was stacking crates to see who got the highest stack. The winning record of crates in our camp was 14. The other activity was climbing the two trees. Each tree had two ways of going up.The fattest tree was the easiest because it was not so steep and not so high. It also had blocks that you could put your feet on.On one side of the hardest tree had blocks, it was really tall. On the other side you just had to use the branches.
